Norway is one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever visited. No matter where you are or what time of day it is, you can find a view that will take your breath away.
This is a guide to the best photo locations in Norway. In here you will find my favorite hikes, locations, and places to visit for photos. I wrote another post about where you should stay if you come to visit and you can find that here, but this post will be all about where to go to find the best photos.
Hamnoy: The famous “Norway Shot”
This place is what put Lofoten on the map and is considered to be the staple image of the area. It’s amazing to see in person and a little hard to comprehend because it is so epic.

Kvalvika Beach and Ryten Mountain
If you’re going to do one of these you may as well do both because they’re right next to each other. There’s two ways you can go about doing this hike. You can start here and hike to the beach first, then summit Ryten, but this involves a bit of up, down, up, down, up, and back down action. Or, you can start here and hike up to Ryten, then hike down to the beach and hike back to the car. Depending on what weather conditions look like, I would opt for option 2 since light and weather at the top of Ryten can be more unpredictable than down at the beach since it’s more sheltered.

The Classic Bridge Photo
This one is a little funny because it’s located right off the side of the main road. In fact, you need to find a place to park your car so that you can walk down to it. Locals have signs up because they don’t want you driving down their driveway and I would definitely do this because they’re not very friendly if you park down by the bridge. Trust me, we had to find out the hard way.

Reinebringen: My Favorite Hike
Reinebringen was my favorite hike we did. In fact, we liked it so much that we did it twice. If you’re thinking about doing this hike in the winter or with snow present I’d recommend you be EXTRA safe. After we did the hike we learned that it’s a place where avalanches are really common and people die somewhat frequently. You should also bring micro-spikes, crampons, or some sort of security for your shoes because it would have been impossible for us without them (or way more dangerous). The view at the top is worth it but please be safe and take that into account above everything.

The Double Bridge Drone Shot: Fredvang Bro
This is another iconic image from the area. You need a drone to make it look the best but it’s worth driving across these bridges to experience it. Plus, if you do the Kvalvika Beach or Ryten hike you’ll have to cross it anyways.

Reine Adventure
Reine Adventure rents kayaks and other various water-based vessels for fun. It’s a fun place to stop to look at these yellow houses.

Red Cabins
No matter where you go you’ll find red cabins. But here’s where these two are located.

Yellow Cabin
This yellow cabin is at the same pull out for Rein Adventure. Hopefully there won’t be anyone parked outside when you visit.
